The countdown is on! Exactly one week until Penn State and
the University of Florida embark on the adventure to South Korea. It still seems unreal that I have the amazing
opportunity to take part in this adventure, and even better that I am able to share
my experiences and unique perspective with you all!
I am from a small town in Central Pennsylvania. My whole
life I have been involved with agriculture, but it was not until Penn State
that I delved into agricultural education. I am currently a senior at Penn State University majoring in Agricultural and Extension Education with a minor in International
Agriculture.
I cannot wait to arrive in South Korea. To say that I am excited is an understatement. For the past 10 weeks our class has
been acquiring as much knowledge about Korean agriculture, society, customs,
and culture as we could pack into a two hour session. I cannot wait to experience Seoul and
interact with individuals from Suwon High School for Agricultural Sciences and
Yeoju Self-Management Agricultural High School!
I look forward to increasing my global perspective and
gaining priceless experiences to incorporate into my future agricultural program!!
Let the adventure begin!
Mackenzie
