Let the Adventure Begin!

The countdown is on! Exactly one week until Penn State and the University of Florida embark on the adventure to South Korea.  It still seems unreal that I have the amazing opportunity to take part in this adventure, and even better that I am able to share my experiences and unique perspective with you all!

I am from a small town in Central Pennsylvania. My whole life I have been involved with agriculture, but it was not until Penn State that I delved into agricultural education. I am currently a senior at Penn State University majoring in Agricultural and Extension Education with a minor in International Agriculture.

I cannot wait to arrive in South Korea. To say that I am excited is an understatement. For the past 10 weeks our class has been acquiring as much knowledge about Korean agriculture, society, customs, and culture as we could pack into a two hour session.  I cannot wait to experience Seoul and interact with individuals from Suwon High School for Agricultural Sciences and Yeoju Self-Management Agricultural High School!

I look forward to increasing my global perspective and gaining priceless experiences to incorporate into my future agricultural program!! Let the adventure begin!
