Hi, I'm Naomi Burnell and I am learning how to blog. I am a senior in the Agriculture and Extension Education major at Penn State. This trip i going to be my first trip out of the country. I have lived in Pennsylvania my whole life and the farthest I have traveled was to Daytona Beach, Florida to visit family.On one of my trips to Florida, I flew with my mom to visit my dad while he was going to school there. I found that I loved flying itself, but not the rush to get to your gate or the long layovers. So this will be quite the adventure for me and I cannot wait to get onto the plane. I think my mom may be even more excited for me and the first thing she said was to ask if she could go with. She was also excited to go shopping for travel gear, some professional clothes and it gave her an excuse for us to get manicures and pedicures. Let me emphasize that she was excited about these thing, I on the other hand am not a big fan of these.
So I am looking forward to just traveling somewhere new first of all. Secondly I think that traveling to South Korea is great because it is somewhere very few people go to visit. Specifically in Korea I am looking forward to trying new things and getting to know the culture first hand. I think the classes were great to prepare us for what to expect but to be immersed in a culture is something else entirely.
So now I am going to find something to eat, as my last meal on American soil for the next ten days and my first meal in Detroit, Michigan.
