Morning Adventures

This morning after a very American breakfast of corn flakes, delicious toast, and coffee, Sarah and I went out to explorer our surroundings.  Right next to the university in a science center and a park. It was incredible. The thing I have noticed most about this city is how green it is. In both Eco friendliness and foliage. Trees everywhere, many different types and they were even labeled in Korean and English for us! The first thing we saw was a gigantic statue of a warrior riding a horse. It was beautiful.
As you continued to walk up the steps of the area there were public exercise machines! Sarah and I tried them out. It was a lot of fun and I love that they are available for everyone to use.  We walked up a path that led to an observatory building that was not open. We continued back down the hill a different way and ended up in a meditation garden type thing. Everything is just so well taken care of, plant wise at least.

There were two separate garden plots set up. One had vegetables of all types growing and the second was flowers. Then there was a large greenhouse filled with different types of succulents and flowers. It was also a mini aquiriuam!  In tanks there were many different types of fish, frogs, iguana, and some scary looking water bugs! It was crazy how it was all there.

We also saw a pagoda dedicated to a General that was born in what is now a park. Koreans sure know how to landscape because everything is laid out so well and beautiful.
There was insence burning inside the main house part and you could not go inside, but we signed the guest book and took some pictures. We also had a language barrier issue at the pagoda, an older man try to speak to us but he didn't understand English at all so who knows what he might have said to us.

All around it was an amazing day! I am glad Sarah and I took our morning to explore!
